Summation Consulting Group was formed in 1990 by Kathy Brewer Gianetti and Mike Gianetti. The pair have worked solely with Professional Service Businesses, exclusively in the Architectural/ Engineering and Design Industry. The firm has grown to include the partners, full time employees and related services associates. Careful, managed growth has been a central concern for the partners, however, service excellence will always be our primary focus.

  • Can we start out with some kind of test period?
    Many of our bookkeeping engagements start out as Temporary Bookkeeping Services. Your bookkeeper goes on Maternity Leave, or has an unfortunate long-term illness or smiply transitions out of your firm. We can step in and help until you find permanent staff to replace us. Bottom line is we are happy to start out on a temproary basis with your firm. You do not need to commit to our services long term.

    We perform all of our services via online access or collaboration.

  • We already own software. Can you use our program?
    Our bookkeepers are fully versed in the following A/E/D specific programs: InFocus, Vision, Advantage, Sema4. If you don't own one of these, you may consider our Hosted Solution.

  • When you say "Hosted Solution" what do you mean?
    If your firm would prefer NOT to maintain a software maintenance plan nor incur the expense of network upkeep for an Accounting system, you can use our hosted solution. What that means is you will pay monthly for access to InFocus as a hosted solution. That means everyone (that you want to) in your firm has access to the system 24/7 as do our bookkeepers. This negates the need for security issues related to access to your LAN. This also saves on yearly software maintenance & support costs.

  • From time to time our Accountant will have questions. How do you handle these?
    Included in our fee is liason with your Accountant. This is especially important at year end.

  • Do you process Payroll?
    If your software can process Payroll from within, we will be happy to run your Payroll for you. However, we cannot be there to make sure that remittance to Federal, State & Local happens in a timely manner. Also, updating of the deductions tables can be an issue. We Strongly Suggest that your firm utilize a Payroll Service.

  • How do your bookkeepers know what we need entered?
    We have developed a system that makes delivery of information to our bookkeepers easy. Though you are welcome to deliver paper to us, most of our clients scan and send us pdf's.
